Editorial Policies
Editorial Ethics and Peer Review
IJCSMR requires that all submissions adhere to strict ethical guidelines, and all manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review for objective assessment by independent experts. Editors and reviewers must also demonstrate integrity and confidentiality throughout the evaluation process.
Author Responsiveness and Withdrawal Policy
Should authors submit a manuscript and then become unresponsive, the journal reserves the right to make publication decisions at its discretion. Persistent non-response may result in the article's publication, retraction, or removal, based on editorial board review. Authors are strongly encouraged to formally communicate if withdrawal is desired, which preserves editorial resources and upholds scholarly courtesy.
Redundant and Duplicate Publication
Submissions must be entirely original and cannot be under consideration, press, or published elsewhere. Substantial overlap with existing literature or parallel submission elsewhere constitutes a violation of editorial policy and will lead to immediate rejection. Authors are required to seek permission for any copyrighted material or previously published figures, with proper acknowledgments in the manuscript.
Conflicts of Interest
Full disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest—including financial, institutional, or collaborative relationships—is required with submission. Accepted papers must visibly declare conflicts in the publication to aid reader judgment and maintain scientific transparency.
Permissions and Copyright
Authors must obtain written permission from prior publishers or copyright holders for all previously published or protected material. IJCSMR cannot proceed with publication unless these permissions are verified and documented in the submission.
Article Withdrawal and Retraction Processes
If any ethical or technical misconduct is discovered, including plagiarism, authorship disputes, data manipulation, or duplicate publication, the editorial team retains the right to withdraw articles prior to publication or issue a formal retraction for published articles. Retraction notices are permanently linked to the withdrawn work, with all content removed from the public record as necessary to correct the scholarly record.
Patient Consent and Privacy
For research involving identifiable patients, authors must secure, preserve, and if requested, produce patient consent forms citing permission for publication of clinical details or images. Statements of consent should be documented within the “Methods” section. The IJCSMR editorial team may require evidence of these consents at any point.
Ethics Committee Approval
All manuscripts involving human or animal research must include a statement confirming approval from an appropriate institutional ethics committee. Details of committee name, protocol number, and approval date are required. Compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and the ARRIVE guidelines is mandatory, and justification must be provided for any departures from established norms.
