Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process of the International Journal of Clinical Science and Medical Research

Introduction

The peer review process is fundamental to maintaining the quality and integrity of scientific research published in the International Journal of Clinical Science and Medical Research (IJCSMR). Our system is designed to ensure impartiality, fairness, and confidentiality while providing a thorough and constructive evaluation of all submitted manuscripts.

Submission

Authors submit manuscripts electronically via our online submission portal at https://journalofmedical.org/, adhering to the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines.

Initial Assessment

Upon submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope, meets formatting standards, and adheres to ethical policies. Manuscripts that satisfy these criteria proceed to the peer review stage.

Reviewer Assignment

The Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors assign manuscripts to reviewers based on their subject matter expertise and impartiality. Reviewers are selected to provide objective and informed critique relevant to the manuscript topic.

Peer Review

Assigned reviewers critically assess the manuscript’s originality, significance, methodological rigor, clarity, and ethical compliance. Their detailed feedback aims to enhance the overall quality of the work through constructive comments and recommendations.

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ evaluations, the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors make decisions from the following:

Acceptance: Manuscript approved for publication without further modifications.

Minor Revisions: Manuscript requires slight amendments to address reviewer comments.

Major Revisions: Substantial changes are necessary due to significant concerns.

Rejection: Manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope.

Revision

Authors are requested to address reviewer feedback in a revised manuscript, accompanied by a detailed response letter explaining modifications.

Re-Review (If Needed)

Revised manuscripts with major changes may undergo additional rounds of peer review to confirm that prior concerns have been resolved.

Final Decision

After considering all feedback and revisions, the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors make a final publication decision.

Publication

Once accepted, manuscripts proceed through copyediting, typesetting, and final preparation for inclusion in an upcoming journal issue. Authors are informed of the publication schedule.
